These images are Solargarphs: a Solargraph is a picture of the sun. The lines of light reveal the tracks of the sun.

These were made using Solarcans (rectangular images) or Pucks (circular images), which are pinhole cameras. The exposure times are generally long -in the case of the garden image, it lasted from Winter Solstice 2022 - Winter Solstice 2023.

The Puck images were taken by cameras placed on ferries which were sailing between mainland Scotland and the Northern Isles.
